Transport properties of one-dimensional interacting fermions in aperiodic potentials
Motivated by the existence of metal-insulator transition in one-dimensional non-interacting fermions in quasiperiodic and pseudorandom potentials, we studied interacting spinless fermion models using exact many-body Lanczos diagonalization techniques. Our main focus was to understand the effect of the fermion-fermion interaction on the transport properties of aperiodic systems. We calculated th...
متن کاملTransmission properties of one dimensional fractal structures
In this paper, the optical properties of one dimensional fractal structures are investigated. We consider six typical fractal photonic structures: the symmetric dual cantor-like fractal structure, the asymmetric dual cantor-like fractal structure, the single cantor-like fractal structure, the symmetric dual golden-section fractal structure, the asymmetric dual golden-section fractal structure a...
متن کاملLocalization for one-dimensional random potentials with large local fluctuations
We study the localization of wave functions for one-dimensional Schrödinger Hamiltonians with random potentials V (x) with short range correlations and large local fluctuations such that ∫ dx 〈V (x)V (0)〉 = ∞. A random supersymmetric Hamiltonian is also considered. Depending on how large the fluctuations of V (x) are, we find either new energy dependences of the localization length, lloc ∝ E/ l...
متن کاملPotentials for One - Dimensional
We discuss restrictions of two-dimensional translation-invariant Gibbs measures to a one-dimensional layer. We prove that there exists a translation invariant a.s. absolutely convergent potential making these restrictions into weakly Gibbsian measures. We discuss the existence of the thermodynamic functions for this potential and the variational principle for the weakly Gibbsian measures.
متن کاملLocalization Properties in One Dimensional Disordered Supersymmetric Quantum Mechanics
A model of localization based on the Witten Hamiltonian of supersymmetric quantum mechanics is considered. The case where the superpotential φ(x) is a random telegraph process is solved exactly. Both the localization length and the density of states are obtained analytically. A detailed study of the low energy behaviour is presented. Analytical and numerical results are presented in the case wh...
